Many people ask, "How do I get XXXX added to the OpenG libraries?" Here's the scoop...

1) Post your idea (feature idea or bug fix) to the OpenG Discussion Forums. It's helpful to post your code and possibly screen-shots. Basically, you need to convince people that your contribution has merit -- the more easily digestible the information you provide, the easier it will be for OpenG Developers to include your contributions into the OpenG libraries.

2) Once you've convinced an OpenG Developer that your contribution has merit, they will need to "sponsor" it. This means that they are claiming ownership of the responsibility of seeing the proposal through the OpenG process.

3) A proposal sponsor will announce the proposal to the other OpenG developers.

4) The sponsor will prepare a proposal document outlining the intentions of the proposal.

5) At least one other OpenG developer must sign off on the proposal.

6) Once the proposal has been signed off, the work must be done to implement the feature/fix.

7) Once the implementation is complete, it must be signed-off by another OpenG Developer. The implementation must fulfill the proposal and be in accordance with OpenG's development standards, in order to be signed off.

8) Once the completed work has been signed off it is released on SourceForge.

9) After release on SourceForge, JKI is notified for inclusion of the package in VI Package Manager's list of available package updates.
